Description
City of Moraine is looking for a part-time Human Resources Administrator. Primary duties involve the general administration of human resource activities including updates to the City personnel policy manual, recruitment, screening, grievances, drug free workforce and employee hiring orientation. Performs additional operational responsibilities as assigned by the City Manager.
Requirements
- Must have knowledge of current federal, state and local personnel and human resource regulations including equal employment opportunity, BWC, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, etc.
- Direct various employment activities, assuring proper recruitment and hiring of personnel, benefit orientation, and making recommendations to the City Manager on employment matters
- The ability to coordinate and participate with supervisors on counseling, discipline, grievance and/or termination proceedings
- Must maintain general control methods, records and files as required for effective and confidential personnel functions
- Ability to oversee the City drug free workforce program as well as testing requirements for all collective bargaining units as mandated by current contracts
- Capability to conduct ongoing research on personnel programs and activities and recommend changes or innovations where beneficial and appropriate
- Must have the knowledge to provide training/updates to supervisors on personnel matters and have the ability to oversee the City EAP and safety committee
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees
- Possess valid Ohio state driver’s license
