May 5th , 2022 / 1:00pm to 3:00pm / Dayton Metro Library

Join us for our kickoff event to celebrate and honor Older Americans Month this May! Feel like you’re too young to be done? Our first program will set the stage by challenging the myths of aging. Ageism impacts our health, our ability to work, and our economy. By marginalizing older people and minimizing their contributions, ageism harms us all.

Our speakers, Noreen Willhelm and Donna Kastner are changing the narrative around aging in our community. Their work as Dayton Foundation Del Mar Encore Fellows has led to the creation of new tools, resources, and insights to drive social change and strengthen our community. Many employers are now recognizing the role of older adults in addressing workforce gaps.
